We're Proud to Support the 2026 Hazel Valley Rally

Every spring, a few hundred cyclists load up their gravel bikes and head into the Boston Mountains east of Fayetteville for what many locals will tell you is the best gravel course in Arkansas. We've been showing up to support it for three years now — and honestly, it never gets old.

The Hazel Valley Rally, put on by the folks at Rule of Three, returned on April 11, 2026, and it was another great one. This year's event brought riders out to the beautiful Hazel Valley Ranch for a day of challenging gravel riding through the Ozark National Forest — the kind of riding that reminds you why you got into cycling in the first place.

What Makes Hazel Valley Special

This race has roots that go all the way back to 2011, when it started as the Hazel Valley Gran Prix on the private ranch land of a guy who just wanted cyclists to enjoy his property. Rule of Three took over the event in 2020, and they've done a great job keeping that grassroots spirit alive while making it better every year.

Riders choose between two routes: the "This Ain't Easy" option at 45 miles with over 4,200 feet of climbing, or the "Have Mercy On Me" course at 64 miles and a brutal 7,500 feet of climbing. Both are 100% rural gravel roads. No pavement. No shortcuts. Just the Ozarks doing what the Ozarks do.

The post-race scene back at the ranch — chili, cold drinks, tired legs, good people — is half the reason people keep coming back.

Why We Show Up

Here at Outbound, we operate roll-off dumpster containers across Northwest Arkansas — Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, and the surrounding communities. These aren't just service areas to us. We live here, we ride here, and we care about the people and events that make NWA what it is.

We provide the dumpsters to the Hazel Valley Rally because local events need support, and it's a service that we can actually provide. Keeping a race venue and campground clean isn't glamorous, but it matters. We're glad to play even a small role in making the event run smoothly for the riders and organizers who put so much into it.

We do the same for Rule of Three's Bentonville race in May, which blends tarmac, gravel, and singletrack into one of the most unique multi-surface events in the region. Supporting both races has become something we genuinely look forward to each year.

Three Years Running

This marks our third year donating dumpster containers to the Hazel Valley Rally, and we plan to keep doing it. Events like this are what make the cycling culture in Northwest Arkansas so strong — and that culture is part of what makes this corner of the state such a great place to build a business and call home.

If you're a gravel cyclist in the area and haven't done Hazel Valley yet, put it on your calendar. Registration fills fast. And if you see our containers on site next year, know that we're happy to be there.

Outbound LLC provides roll-off dumpster rentals across 16 cities in Northwest Arkansas, including Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, and Bella Vista. Have a project coming up? Contact us for a quote.
