FAQs

Let's cover a few of the basics when working with us!

Do you do interior demolition or just structural?

We focus on structural demolition — whole-house teardowns, garage and outbuilding demolition, barn demolition, commercial building removal, and selective exterior tear-outs like decks, fences, pools, and concrete pads. Interior demolition (kitchen tear-outs, bathroom gut-outs, full interior strips for remodels) isn't our typical service line. Never say never though — we'll consider interior projects on a case-by-case basis depending on scope and timing. Give us a call at 479-335-5579 with the details and we'll let you know if we're the right fit or point you toward someone who is.

Do you handle commercial demolition projects?

Yes — we handle commercial demolition projects across Northwest Arkansas, including retail spaces, restaurants, offices, warehouses, and larger commercial structures. We have the equipment, the licensed and insured crew, and the experience for projects of any size. For commercial demos we also handle the COI documentation and coordinate directly with your project manager, GC, or property owner. Call 479-335-5579 with your project details and we'll set up a site walk.

How much does demolition cost in Northwest Arkansas?

Demolition pricing depends on the structure size, materials, site access, utility disconnects, and disposal requirements — every project is quoted individually after a free site walk. As a general guide, residential demolition in NWA typically starts around $8 per square foot for straightforward projects, with larger, more complex, or commercial structures running higher depending on the scope. We give you a single all-in price that includes the demolition itself, debris removal, and site cleanup — no surprise add-ons or hidden fees.

What's the demolition process from start to finish?

Five steps: (1) Site assessment — we visit the property, walk the structure, and identify utilities, hazardous materials, and access constraints; (2) Quote and contract — we provide a fixed-price quote based on the assessment; (3) Permits and utility disconnects — we coordinate with the city and utility companies to get the property ready; (4) Demolition — our equipment and crew handle the teardown; (5) Debris removal and site cleanup — we haul everything away and leave the site graded and clean. The full timeline depends on size, but most residential demos run 1 to 5 days on-site once permits are in hand.

Do I need permits for demolition?

Yes — almost every demolition in NWA requires a city permit, and most also require utility disconnect verification (gas, water, sewer, electric). The good news is we handle this for you. We coordinate with the city, schedule the utility disconnects, and make sure all the paperwork is in order before we start demo. Asbestos surveys are required for some structures (typically pre-1980 commercial and some older residential), and we'll let you know during the site assessment if that's needed.

Do you handle permits, demo, and cleanup — or just the demolition itself?

We handle all of it. That includes pulling permits, coordinating utility disconnects with the gas, water, sewer, and electric companies, performing the demolition, hauling away all the debris in our own roll-off dumpsters, and leaving the site graded and clean. You don't have to coordinate with the city, the utility companies, or a separate cleanup crew — we manage the entire process from the first site walk to the final cleanup. One company, one phone number, one invoice.

Can you handle both the demolition and the dumpster?

Yes — and this is one of the biggest reasons customers call us instead of stitching together two vendors. We bring our own roll-off dumpsters to demo jobs, which means one company, one phone number, one invoice. You don't have to coordinate a separate dumpster rental, deal with a second vendor showing up at the wrong time, or pay separate trip charges. It's a cleaner process and usually a faster one.

How quickly can you start and finish a demolition?

We can often begin within a few days of the quote being signed, depending on permit timelines and our crew schedule. On-site demolition time varies by project: a detached garage typically takes 1 day, residential house teardowns run 2 to 5 days, and commercial structures range from a few days to a few weeks. Add 1 to 3 weeks before that for permits and utility disconnects, depending on the city. We'll give you a realistic timeline during the quote so you can plan around it.

What happens to the debris?

We haul everything to permitted disposal facilities. Recyclable materials (clean concrete, metal) go to recycling whenever possible. Construction and demolition waste goes to permitted C&D landfills. Hazardous materials, if any are encountered, are handled by certified abatement contractors before demo begins. The site is left clean and graded — ready for the next phase of your project.

Is Outbound licensed and insured for demolition work?

Yes — Outbound Demolition is fully licensed and insured for all the demolition services we provide in Northwest Arkansas. Our coverage includes commercial general liability, commercial auto, and workers' comp. We can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) ahead of any project that requires one — most commercial demolition projects do. Just let us know when you book and we'll send the COI before we arrive on-site.

How do I get a quote for a demolition project?

Call us at 479-335-3655 or submit a request at calloutbound.com/contact. We'll set up a site visit, walk the property, and give you a fixed-price quote that covers demolition, debris removal, and cleanup. Most quotes come back within a few business days of the site walk.
